Since August 2021, Tressler attorney Cayla Whitley has served as a “Big Sister” with the Orange County, California chapter of the Big Brothers Big Sisters of America (BBBSA) organization. BBBSA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Their mission is to create and support one-on-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth. It is one of the oldest and largest youth mentoring organizations in the United States.
“I joined Big Brothers Big Sisters of America because I like the idea of working with one child. I appreciate how the organization encourages building a long-term relationship, which I believe can be more impactful,” said Cayla Whitley.
Cayla’s “Little Sister” is a 12-year-old who recently completed her first year of middle school. Their favorite activities include skateboarding and watching movies together.
Tressler is proud to recognize Cayla Whitley’s great work supporting local communities. Even though she is a busy and successful attorney, Cayla always makes time to give back to others. She is known for her active volunteerism with children. She previously served as a counselor at a non-profit summer camp called OVY Camp. While attending law school, Cayla received Pro Bono Graduation Honors for her various projects related to children.
Cayla is an associate in Tressler’s Labor & Employment Practice Group in our Orange County, California office. She is an active member of our national Diversity & Inclusion Committee. Cayla primarily handles employment and litigation matters and she provides management-side labor and employment litigation defense to a broad range of clients.

Since 1904, Big Brothers Big Sisters has operated under the belief that inherent in every child is incredible potential. As the nation’s largest donor- and volunteer-supported mentoring network, Big Brothers Big Sisters makes meaningful, monitored matches between adult volunteers (“Bigs”) and children (“Littles”), ages 5 through young adulthood in communities across the country. They develop positive relationships that have a direct and lasting effect on the lives of young people. Visit their website at www.bbbs.org to learn more.
